ABOUT US
Celebrating our 20th year, Hope & A Future serves abused and neglected children living in the foster care system through our transformative programs. We receive no government funding and fully operate through donations and the Foster Care Tax Credit. Your donation allows us to form relationship-based connections through our summer camps, life-skills training & mentoring, educational scholarships and transitional living programs.
Proceeds will directly support our Transitional Living Program. Every year, thousands of foster youth will age out of the system when they turn 18. 25% become instantly homeless. 30% become incarcerated for some offense. By the time the young adult is 24, only 50% will be employed and the average annual salary for those with a job is $7,500. Through our Transitional Living Program, we provide room & board and support to help with life skills needed for independence. Assistance includes bi-monthly check-ins, job training assistance and educational support.
Through these programs, we improve foster children's long-term outcomes by offering them hope and a brighter future.
